Prospective Conference Delegates
For 2012, the Military Surgery Conference will occur at the annual meeting of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland [ASGBI]. We have concentrated the conference into a single day [Wednesday 9 May] and intend that this should become the academic highlight of the military medical year. We have assembled an exciting programme with a mix of free papers and invited expert speakers.
Military Surgery Conference is designed to appeal to medical practitioners, nurses and those in other professions allied to medicine with an active interest in the care of injured or sick service men and women. The conference content is focused on all aspects of military medicine; however, emphasis is given to the chain of care of injured patients from point of wounding through to rehabilitation.
Civilian delegates attending the ASGBI conference are warmly welcomed at Military Surgery 2012; however, one of the sessions is a closed symposium for serving or retired members of Defence Medical Forces only. Civilian delegates who may wish to attend this session will be obliged to seek clearance directly from the Conference Secretariat at: info@militarysurgery.org.uk prior to the event.
