Military Surgery Conference

HMS Collingwood

The Military Surgery Conference encompasses all branches of military surgery. The 2010 meeting will be held in the Millennium Hall at HMS Collingwood, Fareham, near Portsmouth in Hampshire. We have the capacity to accept over 300 delegates for the two-day conference scheduled for Thursday 29 & Friday 30 April 2010.

There are speakers and delegates from general surgery, vascular surgery, orthopaedics, burns and plastics, ophthlamic and neurosurgery plus maxillo-facial surgery. We are also pleased to welcome colleagues from emergency medicine, critical care, rehabilitative medicine, nursing and professions allied to medicine.

The meeting is aimed at serving or retired members of the UK’s Defence Medical Services, both regular and reservist in all three UK services.  In addition, this year we will be extending the invitation to delegates from the Defence Medical Services of nearly 50 nations [NATO countries and the G20 group of nations].

The aim of the Military Surgery Conference is to bring together not only experts both clinical and academic but also trainees and paramedical practitioners. We therefore hope the conference will provide a vehicle to further foster international links and collaboration within the field of military surgery.
